It takes two fields. Type the 10–14 digit reference number from a printed bill into the box on BijliBillCheck.pk, choose the company that supplies your address — MEPCO in Multan, LESCO in Lahore, FESCO in Faisalabad and so on — and submit. The duplicate opens from the PITC portal in a new tab, and there is nothing to register for.

All eleven distribution companies that bill through PITC — MEPCO (Multan and southern Punjab), LESCO (Lahore), FESCO (Faisalabad), IESCO (Islamabad and Rawalpindi), GEPCO (Gujranwala), PESCO (Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), HESCO (Hyderabad and lower Sindh), SEPCO (Sukkur and upper Sindh), QESCO (Quetta and Balochistan), TESCO (the tribal districts) and HAZECO (Hazara and Abbottabad).

Near the top of the sheet, under a label reading 'Reference No.' or 'Consumer Reference', 10 to 14 digits long. It identifies the meter rather than the person, so it stays the same month after month unless the meter itself or the account is replaced.

It is the real document. The request goes to bill.pitc.com.pk — the same system your distribution company bills from — and whatever comes back is displayed unaltered. Nothing is added and nothing is recalculated. Read the figures against your own records before paying, as with any bill.

No. The number is passed through to PITC so the bill can be drawn in your browser, and no database here keeps it afterwards. If you use the recent-lookups shortcut, those numbers live in your own browser's storage, on your own device, and never reach us. Treat the reference as account-sensitive anyway — anyone holding it can view your bill.

No. This site displays bills and never handles money. With the amount and due date in front of you, pay through JazzCash, Easypaisa, a bank app, an ATM or any authorised counter, quoting the same reference number.

Read the digits back against the printed bill first — one wrong figure returns an empty result rather than an error. If they match, give it a minute and try again, or change network. PITC is a government portal and it does slow down around billing dates. A bill that loads but looks wrong — an unfamiliar reading, a charge you cannot place — is a matter for your DISCO rather than for us.

In most cases yes: a PITC duplicate, or its PDF printout, is widely taken as proof of address or payment history. Each institution sets its own rule, though, and a few still want a stamped original. Ask before making the trip.

Yes — the layout is designed for a phone screen first, and the bill scales to fit rather than making you pinch and pan across a desktop-width page. There is nothing to install.

No, and neither can any other third-party tool. K-Electric runs a billing system entirely outside PITC, so no reference number entered here would ever reach it. Karachi consumers need ke.com.pk and their 13-digit consumer number. KE customer care is 118 for emergencies, or 021-99008.

Go straight to ke.com.pk and enter the 13-digit consumer number printed on the KE bill. K-Electric — KESC as it used to be — supplies Karachi, Hub in Lasbela, and a handful of adjoining areas of Sindh and Balochistan. It is a separate utility from the eleven DISCOs and shares none of their infrastructure.

Open the gas checker at BijliBillCheck.pk/sngpl-bill-check and enter the 11-digit consumer number from your gas bill. The request goes to the official Sui Northern portal and brings back the current statement. SNGPL is the supplier throughout Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It is a question of geography. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines covers Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; Sui Southern Gas Company covers Sindh and Balochistan. Karachi therefore sits in SSGC territory, and SSGC bills are checked on ssgc.com.pk rather than here.

Eleven digits exactly, printed on the gas bill and repeated in SNGPL's SMS alerts. Do not mix it up with an electricity reference number, which is 10 to 14 digits and belongs to a completely different system.

Fuel Price Adjustment. Each month NEPRA works out what generating the electricity actually cost — furnace oil, coal, imported LNG — and the difference against the assumed cost lands on your bill, usually as a surcharge and occasionally as a credit. It is the standard explanation for a bill that jumps while your consumption holds steady.

A stepped price ladder: the more units drawn in a month, the higher the rate charged on them. Domestic steps generally break around 50, 100, 200, 300, 500 and 700 units. Because crossing a step raises the rate applied, shaving consumption to just below a boundary can save considerably more than the units themselves are worth.

A household drawing 200 units a month or fewer, which under NEPRA policy is billed on the subsidised — often called lifeline — slab rates. The per-unit cost sits well below what an unprotected consumer pays, and the status is judged against recent consumption history rather than granted once and kept.

Tariff Rationalisation Surcharge. It costs more to serve some regions than others, but the national tariff is uniform, and TRS is the levy that bridges that difference. It appears as its own line beside GST and FPA and has no relationship to how much you consumed.

On a Time-of-Use meter the expensive window is normally 7 PM to 11 PM, with everything else billed off-peak. Ironing, laundry and heavy cooling moved outside that window is where TOU consumers find genuine savings. On a standard meter the hour of the day changes nothing.

The penalty for paying after the due date, and the reason a bill prints two figures: the amount payable inside the grace period and the larger one that applies once it lapses. Settle against the first and the second is never charged.

A small fixed monthly charge for the meter hardware, on connections where it applies. It has nothing to do with consumption — the same figure shows up whether you used 40 units or 400.

In the JazzCash app open Bill Payment, choose your distribution company, key in the reference number, confirm the amount matches your bill, and authorise. Without a smartphone, *786# runs the same sequence over USSD. Keep the transaction ID — it is the evidence if the payment is ever queried.

Open Easypaisa, go to Pay Bills, pick your DISCO, enter the reference number, check the amount and pay. The *786# route behaves identically on a basic handset. Hold the confirmation message until the payment shows on your next bill.

Registration happens on css.pitc.com.pk rather than here. Enter your electricity reference number, fill in your details, clear the OTP check and submit. The scheme is aimed at households already inside the 200-unit protected threshold. There is a full walkthrough at /cross-subsidy-program.

Residential consumers averaging 200 units a month or less. NEPRA classes them as protected and applies the subsidised slab rates. Formal enrolment runs through the Cross Subsidy Scheme portal at css.pitc.com.pk.

Begin with the helpline printed on your own bill: your distribution company holds the account and is the only party that can act on it. If nothing moves, escalate to the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit or NEPRA's consumer complaint portal. We cannot file anything for you — this is an independent viewing tool with no access to account records.

An arrangement under NEPRA rules that lets a rooftop solar system feed surplus generation back onto the DISCO grid, offsetting what you import. It needs a licensed installation and a bidirectional meter fitted by your distribution company. The solar guides are at /guides/solar.

There is no relationship with WAPDA, NEPRA, PITC, any distribution company or the Government of Pakistan, and no ability to change a bill or an account. Start with the slab boundary — knowing roughly where your monthly units land tells you whether small cuts are worth real money.
